No post title, just smiles

Hello world!

I do plan on writing a proper blog post about all the awesome things that I've been doing this last week (okay, not many awesome things, but I do promise a proper post soon).  Instead I just thought I'd post something that made me giggle uncontrollably last night and hopefully spread smiles across the world.

He is our new saviour, the Dark Pug!

He will be the hero we need him to be.

I'm hoping that you guys out there are all smiling, and if not, then think of something that does make you smile right...now!

See, made ya smile.

Halloween fun!!!

A very happy un-Halloween to you!  The countdown to next year has begun, and don't tell me your not excited.

I had a brilliant Halloween this year.

This was the first year I had a pumpkin thanks to my wonderful boyfriend.  I had so much fun carving it, and a lot of fun pulling out its guts!!!  I loved my little Jack Skeleton, but sadly he's rotted now and living in the bin.  I miss you first pumpkin.  There is a photo but it's on Danny's phone so I have to wait for him to come down to get it.

First time for a few years I was able to go out and it was so much fun.  Like I said before my bestie threw a late Halloween party this year.  I dressed as a rockabilly zombie, although I'm so bloody pale you can barely tell I was pale grey.  But it was fun to put on.  The party was so much fun and I made Sian's Braain cakes, and I suggest you try them all too.  Fun to make, and even funnier to eat.  It's hilarious watching people squirm while they eat them.  I've had demand for more.  Though I think I'm going to mix it up next time and make dead brains, making the icing grey and the jam green.  Thanks for the cake idea Sian!!!  You, my dear, rock!

For the actual Halloween I stayed in Danny's and he told me he had some surprises for me.  I sat in bed got all snuggled up warm with a big bag of sweeties and he put some surprise films and DVD's on.   The first I as very pleased with because it was Nightmare Before Christmas, I've watched it every year for as long as I can remember on Halloween and on Christmas Eve.  It's become tradition, and he remembered so kudos to him.    Then we watched the Psych vampire special...possibly one of the funniest episodes of anything I have ever seen.  Lestat and Blackula should become a crime-fighting team.  Then I finally started the Walking Dead.  Such a brilliant episode, I'm finishing the first series tomorrow, I can't wait.  He topped it all off with something that made jump with joy, and earns him a Best Boyfriend Award.  Buffy the Vampire Slayer, the Halloween episode.  It's my favourite episode, and the fact he knew that was brilliant.  So it was a brilliant Halloween.  I hope everyone else had a really good Halloween too!!!

I won an award!

Hey everybody, come see how good I look.  Well how good my award looks.  I am sooo happy with this, it really does cheer me up on bad days when I log on and find something so nice.  So thank you Annie Walls for being so nice, and thank you for having such a fun blog to read!  Everybody should stop checking out how good I look, and should now run their tiny legs over to Annie's blog!!!

Liebster ("Dearest" in Germany) Blog Award!

There are 2 simple rules and none of them are about Fight Club.
1.Thank the person who gave you the award and link to their blog.
2.Pass the award on to 5 blogs that have less than 200 followers.

So my wonderful blogging buddies are...

Now, fly my pretty's fly!!!

Listen to them - the children of the night, what music they make.

~Said in a very embarrassing Backstreet Boys song voice~ Oh my God, I'm back again!

Don't judge me on my voice, and don't judge me on my song choi...who am I kidding, where on earth did that come from!?!

Oh, who the hell cares! It's Halloween Eve Eve Eve!  And what a very important Friday it is for most people out there on this planet called Earth.  People preparing busily for their Halloween parties for this weekend.  Making sure you've got enough candy/sweets to give to enough children this weekend and... well, doing other things for the build up the Holiday of the year, HALLOWEEN!!!

Is anybody else getting excited?

So far today I've gone shopping with my boyfriend, if we didn't go today then the shelves would be bare all week because the shelves in the shops would be empty.  The supermarket was packed!  So it was good job we went today.

I'm really lucky, I've been well enough lately to actually get excited about Halloween.  The past two years have been hard for me on Halloween, but this year I plan to go all out.  Well-ish.  My best friend 5 Apples (nicknamed after the height of Hello Kitty) is throwing her annual Halloween party.  Although she only decided to throw it this year a few days ago.  so every bodies been rushing around looking for last minute costume ideas.  I'm excited about mine.  I'm dressing as a rockabilly pin up zombie girl, though I won't be able to paint my whole arms and that, but hey I'll make it work.  Danny's costume is particularly epic, but I'm not allowed to say what it is.  I'm sure there will be photo's.

Speaking of costumes and photo's, everyone should go and check out Justine's blog party, she has some rather amusing photographs of her friends of the blogging world in their costumes.  I was invited but unfortunately all my photo's involve me in my more wild child ways, I'm either drunk, pulling obscene gestures or wearing some very unlady like things.  So I'm routing through the depths of mum's photograph cupboard.  There has to be one of me in my more tame Cherry ways haha.

Well today I've spent most of the day making Brain cakes, thanks to Sian's wonderful Zombie blog post.  I'm in the middle of making them waiting for them to cool down but I can't wait to finish them and eat them all up.  So thank you Sian, and your wonderful blogging ways! I will be sure to post photo's too.

Also tonight, for the first time in my little Cherry life, I'm going to carve a pumpkin.  I've never done it before, and Danny has insisted that this year I have to do one with him.  I'm sooooo excited.  I want to make a Jack Skeleton one.

I hope everyone's as excited as me.  Let me know what you're up too!!!

p.s. I love my post title!

Cherry Neko (The Zombie Years...volume three; anime)

I am so excited about the next instalment of the Zombie Years.  I'm a huge Japan fan (I've even started learning Japanese, one day I will go there and I will know what people are saying!), and I have a special spot in my heart for anime and manga.  Since I was a tiddly tot people have often said I belong in anime and manga.  Apparently who I am, is a perfect anime character.  Smiles all around.  Anyway I've recently discovered Highschool of the Dead and I think its fair to say (barring any Ghibli's) that it's my favourite anime...ever!

It's brilliant.  The zombies are eerie and the storyline is amazing (I'm only half way through the first season but I can already tell I'm going to love it.  Although there is a slight drawback, it's kinda got its pervy moments.  A lot if knickers and bra's and boob jiggle noises.  Even the opening scene, is loaded with them and some very naughty pictures.  But if you can bare to sit through the tons and tons of pointless knicker shots.  It's not porn/Hentai but sometimes the images definitely come across that way.  So this show is not for anyone who is easily offended by these things (please remember that its mainly high school girls knickers and bras, and there's the obviously naughty stances etc) do not watch this series.  The story is brilliant.  A group of teenagers and their ditzy school nurse try to escape school during a zombie invasion, that seems to be taking over the world.  (I'm looking forward to watching episode six, I have to wait till the weekend though which means I have a sad face).  The story really will keep you on the edge of the seat, and theme song will have you bopping along with it in no time.  The characters are a real joy to watch develop, and the script is amazing.  I won't post a trailer for it because I don't want people to become offended, so go and check it out for yourselves if you want.

Cherry Neko (The Zombie Years...volume two; Video Games)

Anyone who knows me, knows that I'm actually a bit of a video game nut, and whenever I have some spare moneyz I do tend to go and buy myself a new game (or buy my boyfriend one just so I can play it).  I like video games.  I like zombies.  You combine the two?  You get a very happy, bouncy and crazed zombie killing Cherry.  I'm also a huge co op gaming fan (not so much online), there's just something that makes me smile when I'm sitting down Danny or my friends and laughing, it's so much fun.

I was going to nominate something else originally as my favourite zombie game, but then the other day I tried out a new game and have decided I love it far much more.  Borderlands is one of my favourite games of all time, and it had some downloadable content that I finally purchased the other day and it's a download pack called The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned (which I think is a reference to The Island of Dr. Moreau).  The story is brilliant, and funny.  Dr. Ned, who is basically a side character (Dr. Zed) in the Borderlands game with a fake moustache, accidentally has created zombies, and then when trying to find the antidote has ended up creating wereskags (there version of werewolves) instead.  Oh dear.  The game itself is really fun, having a very old school horror film vibe to it.  Even though the colours can be bright and acidy, there's a hint of classic that keeps it from tiliting overboard.  There's tons of film references that just make me smile so much, even a Scooby Doo reference (Harry, Skaggy and the Misery Machine).  The zombies run, and they can surround you quite quickly but that's all part of the fun.  If your in the mood for some zombie gaming fun I highly recommend this download pack, and if your in the mood for a good game I recommend Borderlands too.

Cherry Neko (The Zombie Years...volume one; music)

Here it is, the first of my zombie posts.  Aren't you all lucky?  I ran through songs and songs and then some more songs trying to find out what my favourite zombie song is.  I had The Misfits, The Creepshow, Schoolyard Heroes and Zombina and te Skeletones to name a few.  But my chosen zombie song of the day is from Jonathan Coulton.  I love this guy, his songs are so epic.  I first found out about him through my favourite video game of all time, Portal.  He wrote the credit song at the end, and bam, it was love.

So here you go, hope this song helps you to understand zombies a little better.

Enjoy.

Minion of Misery

I have very good news, I have been chosen.  I know, it's exciting to know your Cherry Neko is a chosen one.  But the real question is, will she use this power for good or evil.  After all even villains think they're saving the world...and I bet they like cupcakes too.  Wait.  I've got this wrong.  It doesn't mean I've got superpowers, but it does mean that Little Gothic Horrors has named me as a Minion of Misery.  I suppose that's just as good and it means I don't have to get out of bed to do it.

So here it goes, Minion of Misery Cherry Neko, REPORTING FOR DUTY!

My favourite dark book.

I should choose something like The Picture of Dorian Gray or Interview with a Vampire because these are two of my favourite dark books of all time.  But I am drawn to another book today.  Simply because I've recently read the latest instalment and then started from the beginning again.  The wonderful, the funny and genuinely original Skulduggery Pleasant.  I'm choosing the whole series though.  Skulduggery Pleasant has recently knocked Anne Rice's the Vampire Chronicles of the top as my favourite book series of all time, and Skulduggery's also easily become on of my favourite characters of all time.  It's a book aimed at teenagers and young adults, but it is "dark".

"You're still upset about that time I made you explode, aren't you? I can tell."

The main character, Skulduggery is a detective who just seems to belong in an old detective movie.  He as wit a that pours through every sentence that comes through his mouth, a quick trigger finger and a slight temper that goes with it.  Plus as everyone who's ever heard the name Skulduggery knows, he is one dangerous man...skeleton.  Just don't get on his bad side.

What makes the book series dark though? It's the characters.  A bespoke tailor who knows how to box, but Ghastly Bespoke is more known for the terrible scarring all over his body that he has because of a curse.  Then there's Doctor Nye (a really eerie character that doesn't show up until book 5), it (never a she or he) is a very tall thing with really long limbs, dead like skin and a huge scab for a nose.  It works in the underworld with an apprentice (the headless horseman).  The horseman travels dead bodies between the two realms and ensures that Doctor Nye never tries to escape.  Doctor Nye, spends its days cutting up the bodies of the dead and removing organs to try and find out, just what a soul looks like.  There's a scary seen when he does this to one of the main characters while they're still alive.

There's also more classic style characters, like the Necromancers (a religion that live in temples and would rather study how to become immortal, than fight), then there's the vampires.  These vampires don't sparkle.  They don't just fall in love and become the sweetest creatures in the world.  These vampire's shed their human skin at dust to become pale hairless "animals", and they have a blood lust that would rival even most vampires I read about.  There is one vampire who tries to fight the disease because he loves anoter character, but this love is not a whiney emo love that tends to literature today, its basically stalking and obsessive.  The zombies are briliant too.  They're not like your typical zombies, once they're awaken from the dead they can pretty much hold up a normal conversation al long as they don't eat flesh (that's when they become mindless zombies), but they do still decay after death at a slightly slower rate than the dead.  Ok I've prattled on enough, people should just read it, then come and tell me.

My favourite dark movie.

I'm a huge fan of film (I majored in film studies all those years ago), so choosing one film is pretty damn hard.  I love all films (well most), from all decades.  I love Nosferatu (1922), and the Universal Monsters have always managed to put a smile on my face, then there's Dracula (funny Buffy version, Gary Oldman being a nice piece of eye candy and an awesome actor, and then there's Christopher Lee (in Hammer we Trust).  There's classic Hitchcock, and weird Lynch, there's Wes Craven and Carpenter.  Gah!  Choosing is hard.  So I'm choosing this, simply because I've just watched "Wishful Thinking" (mmmm Supernatural) and I'm in the mood for more Raimi.  The Evil Dead.  Ah, Bruce.  Ah, Sam Raimi.  Ah, crazy demonic antics.  The films terrible.  It's shot on 16mm camera, which is then expanded so much it becomes grainy (to 35mm I think?), the actors are basically college friends and the budget was a measly $400, 000.  Which is not a lot for a film.  However, none of that matters.  It's the fact it's so terrible that is makes it amazing.  Somehow, Sam Raimi made what should have a been a film so terrible it should barely be watchable and turned it into something so amazing it's considered art.  It truly is art in my eyes.  He hits every beat perfectly, and throws in so much gore it could make Eli Roth blush.  Forget the Splat Pack of horror directors, he is the splat master.  He took a simple concept such as reading from a book and bringing the dead back to life into something new.

Romero may have pretty much invented the genre, but it's Raimi who twisted it into something new.  I love The Evil Dead can you tell?  Just be glad I talked about evil dead you could have easily had a 10,000 word essay on Buffy the Vampire Slayer and why we should all bow down to Whedon lol.

My dark secret.

This is sooooo tough, because I really can't think of any dark secrets.  In fact I can't think of any secrets.  Although, when I used to work in a certain place, there was some I used to mini-hitler.  She was a horrible, horrible person, who had no respect for anyone, except those who she could brown nose to.  She pretty much believed that the place would fall apart if she wasn't there.  Now I'm not a horrible person, but I'm not a people person either.  I just don't like people who aren't respectful, and those people certainly don't get my respect.  (It sounds like a gangster thing haha).  Any way one day I was really ill (I think I had the flu), and the only reason I came in was because a friend asked me to come in for an hour then I could leave.  So I plucked up the spirit downed a lot of lucazade and lemsip and went in, only problem is half way through I started to vomit.  So I asked mini-Hitler to leave, she said no and tried to make me stay the whole shift.  So when she went on her break I decided to go home (with or without her permision).  I was in the bathroom when she walked in, she left her coffee on the window ledge (who does that any way ew), so while she was on the loo I may have spat in her coffee with my horrible after vomit spit.  I hate it when people spit, especially when they do it on other people.  It makes me sick thinking about it.  But I still think se deserved it.  That's what she gets for judging me on how I look and not who I am.

There we go, my dark choosing's.  I know it's a lengthy one, but there you have it.  I hope you enjoyed reading it, now it's my turn to choose some Minions of Misery of my own mwahahaha

Zombie Blogging Sadness

I apologize to everyone who came here on Friday expecting a zombie post!!!  I was terrible, I didn't post a zombie blog.  And this makes me a very sad little zombie, knowing that I let some people down, and that I missed out on something so awesome.

I haven't been well for a few weeks, and I thought I was getting better, but unfortunately it ended up with me being rushed to hospital last week and I only got home this morning.  Luckily I feel much better now, with all my special medicine and lots of tea!

Really sorry.

p.s. I'm about to do my own zombie walk, I'm like the zombie with only one leg so he's dragging himself along while everyone else is miles ahead.  I can't wait to read your zombie posts!

p.p.s. My zombie post that I was meant to do is actually a bit long so I've decided to spread the zombie love and I'm gonna break it down into smaller posts and dash them about the week.

The possibility of a Halloween Swap and a 25 follower give away

I know I asked before, and I had interest from 2 people, so I'd really like to know if people are interested in me doing a Halloween swap or not?  I just thought it would be a fun way to celebrate Halloween.

Also I know I also said I'd do a 25 follower give away in an earlier post, and as soon as I'm better I'll go shopping for it.  Sorry it's taken me so long.

Blast this sickness!

Yet again, this sickness is trying to take me down.  It's got a fight on its hands, especially seen as it's the Zombie Walk this Friday.  Good luck illness, good luck indeed.  I have Zombies and Captain Kirk on my side.

Alas all I've been doing all weekend in between naps is watching films.

I got to watch films that I love and films that I'd never seen.  Got to say, was not impressed with Transformers Dark of the Moon.  Not even slightly.  Granted I loved the first two, but Danny is a huge original Transformers fan (in fact one of my best friends and another friend are too) and since being with him and rewatching the cartoons from when I was a wee little Cherry I can understand why he sits and huffs and puffs all the way through them.  They're really nothing to do with the originals.  But this one took the urinal cakes!!!  It was not only near enough nothing to do with the originals but it was also just a plain terrible movie.  It takes a lot for me to not like a movie, and I REALLY DON'T like it.  If it wasn't for our Lord and Saviour Leonard Nimoy I wouldn't have watched it till the end so willingly.

I also go to watch Green Lantern, which truthfully I've never read.  I don't know that much of the Lantern universe, but aside from probably having little to do with comics I really enjoyed as a nice switch-off-and-chill movie.  I love Ryan Reynolds.  I think he's a brilliant actor.  So he didn't let me down.

Then there was Big Fish, and Sweeney Todd.  Tim Burton made these.  Enough said I do believe.

And now I'm about to watch some Death Note goodness.

Any one seen any good films this weekend?  Any one got any good films to recommend?  I would love some new films to enjoy while I'm still bed bound.

~GASP~

~Sniffs the air~  Can you smell that?  It smells like rotting flesh.

~Listens really carefully~ It sounds like shuffling feet.  They sound like they getting closer.

Oh, that would be because the zombies are coming.

Only one week, then the zombies are here!

Bad news, followed by good news, followed by better news.

Of course none of this news affects you guys in any way, except of course those of you who can't go on with out knowing the ins and out of my life.  Who wouldn't?  I do lead such a glamorous lifestyle.  YEAH RIGHT!

I just thought I should do a little post based on what's been happening to me the last few days.

First the bad news, I'm sick...again.

Yep, the mean ulcerative colitis has reared its ugly head again and decided it's time I had a flare up.  I've been feeling all icky for about a week now and then on Monday it hit at full force.  It's finally dying down, and I'm starting to feel better, but as with everyone, after you've been sick you feel tired.  I'm just grateful it wasn't so bad that I needed to go back into hospital.  Nothing that a good haul of legal drugs and huggles couldn't cure.  So I'm feeling a bit better, but I apologize for my absence, I spent the week in Danny's in bed drinking tea and being told not to move, while I was waited on.  So, I guess it wasn't the end of the world, I did clock in on some reading and did play on the PS3 for hours on end.  So, yes, feel sorry for me.  It's so horrible having to play games for hours on end, and watch endless amounts of films.  Who's want that? Haha.

The good news and the great news next.  I can't decide which is better, because they're both equally awesome and have made this week a lot more bearable.  I'd probably be down in the dumps moaning about being sick again if it wasn't for these.  So I'll start with the one that ties in with me being sick.

I had another one of my wonderful hospital appointments again.  This time with a new doctor, and he was lovely.  Better than a lot of them who like to talk down to me because I'm only 24 and obviously don't know what's going on (grrr, I hate it when Dr's do that).  Any way, he's a specialist in bowels.  What a fun speciality right?  I was referred to him because the one of my Dr's has been hinting at the possibility of more surgery.  Which is always fun.  Some of you who have read my Disappearing Act post from a few months ago know that I have a colostomy bag due to some emergency surgery.  Well the new Dr informed me that the only reason I have got the colostomy bag was because the day I had to go in surgery there wasn't a bowel surgeon in and they just did what they think they had to.  Turns out, they didn't.  They where meant to do something completely different.  But, hey, at the end of the day they saved my life.  Well the new Dr has decided, it's time to fix that mistake and give me a reversal.  What will need to be done is one huge surgery and one little surgery and then possibly some more after that, over quite a few months, and that they don't do it any where near where I live so I'll be put far from home with specialists.  But I don't care.  I'm super excited!!!  I've been trying to get this surgery for the past 2 years and I'm finally able too.  So, YAY!

And the second bit of news is that Danny has asked me to move in with him.  I've been so excited I've barely noticed being sick, seen as he's already brought us our first piece of moving in together...things?  A cup.  My first new cup for the new house.  I'm not allowed to use it till we actually do a get a place, but it's big and has Dr Who on it so I'm happy.  As of today, we have started looking.  I'm turning all adult-like.  It's creepy.  I'm going to be very poor too.  Any tips on how to live away from your mum and dad?  Haha.  I'm going to fail.  But hey, it's a new adventure!

A-Z of Cherry

Hello,

I just found two A-Z's in a matter of minutes on two different blogs (amyschmamey and Lariats and Lavender).  I remember doing these all the time when I was younger and how much I loved doing them.  So here's it goes:

A. Age ~ 24

B. Bed size ~ I have two beds technically and both are singles (one where I love, and one in my boyfriends house)

C. Chore that you hate ~ There's a lot of chores I hate because they pull my sore tummy when I stretch too much, but I'll go with hoovering just because it really kills me.  Luckily I don't do it any more =)

D.Dogs ~ I love dogs, and I hope one day I can have a load of them.

E. Essential start to your day ~ Going to the toilet haha

F. Favourite colour ~ Red.

G. Gold or Silver ~ Silver, gotta keep those werewolves away somehow.

H. Height ~ 5 ft 6 inches.

I. Instruments you play ~ I can't really play any instruments, I've tried though.  My favourite was playing drums, but I don't have rhythm.

J. Job title ~ Being a Cherry Neko, saving the world.  Among other very important titles of course.

K. Kids ~ Nope.

L. Live ~ Liverpool, England

M. Mother's name ~ Valerie (but everyone calls her Val)

N. Nicknames ~ Ah, there's a long list.  But my main ones are Cherry, Clefairy, and Clefoodles (which is actually the shortened version Clefoodlairydoodlecakes).

O. Overnight hospital stays ~ Only one so far, but it lasted a month.

P. Pet peeves ~ Spite.  I hate spite.  There's two types of spite in my opinion, when you joke around with your friends spite (as long as its all in good fun and no one gets hurt) which I'm okay with, but then there's real spite.  I hate it.

Q. Quote from a movie ~ "Bio-digital jazz man" Tron Legacy

R. Right or left handed ~ Left, but I can do a lot of things with my right too.

S. Siblings ~ An annoying younger sister who I love!

U. Underwear ~ Oh lots of different types, in lots of different colours.  Right now I'm wearing purple leopard print with Animal on.

V. Vegetables you hate ~ There's not a lot vegetables I hate...but a million that hate me.  How ever peas are evil and should die.

W. What makes you run late ~ I always try my hardest to be on time, except doesn't tend to happen as much as I'd like.  I tend to day dream...a lot.  It's very distracting.

X. X-Rays you've had ~ Stomach, intestines, legs, arms, back, and my right ankle.  Oh and teeth.

Y. Yummy food that you make ~ Cookies, cakes, pasta dishes, and fizzy jelly.

Z. Zoo animal ~ Penguins!

If you do an a-z let me know, I'd love to read it.

What I did on Tuesday

Alas, my cable for my phone still eludes me.  Photo's will still have to wait.  I'm going to my boyfriends tomorrow (or seen as I'm actually posting this just gone midnight, that technically makes it today) so I can pick his up for when I return on Friday.

Well, Tuesday was quite a fun day.  I woke up and listened to some music for a while, I remember listening to MSI ~ Shut Me Up, Finger Eleven ~ Slow Chemical and Repo! The Genetic Opera ~ 21st Century Cure.  If you like punk check out MSI if you haven't, if you like rock then Finger Eleven...used to be good, and if you like gothic opera films with a modern twist you should totally watch Repo! The Genetic Opera.  I mean who wouldn't want to see Giles as an assassin?

And I have a slighty googly eye crush on the GraveRobber...or it could just be I really want his coat.

Any way, after that I jogged downstairs and gave my Dad his birthday presents.  Which he liked.  Then Danny gave him a crate of lager for his birthday...he liked that more.  But I tried to outstage him, I told him the jumper was a special jumper that you could only wear when drinking lager.  I don't think Dad believed me haha.  Ah, he likes his jumper and slippers and that's all that matters.

Then I did a little bit of reading, not just any book but an amazing book.  The new Skulduggery Pleasant book.  The first book is in my top 3 books of all time, it goes Dracula, Interview With A Vampire, then Skulduggery.  At least it used too, I think I've decided that my inner child is at its happiest when reading about  a skeleton detective, which is odd because when I was a child I was more content reading Dracula.

If you don't think that awesome books that are aimed at a younger audience isn't a little too immature for your taste you should definately check it out.  There are no sparkley vampires...but there are some vampires.  They tend to be a little more...erm "darker", than the Cullen family.

Then I watched Monday Night Raw with Danny.  I love wrestling, I'm a huge fan (or mark, to use the technical term for a fan of wrestling), so I enjoyed a muffin and some good matches.

At some point, after a very tasty egg, sausage and chip dinner I tried to watch a film called Tucker and Dale vs. Evil.  But my Xbox didn't want to play nice so I'm going to have to wait to watch it.  I'm upset about it though, I really want to see it.  It looks soooooooo funny.  Has anyone seen it?  Is it any good?

Then I spent the rest of my night being an Assassin, I played on Assassins Creed Brotherhood before deciding I should probably blog.  A spontaneous post that has no real importance other than to tell you what I did on Tuesday 13th September.  Lol, sorry.  Hope I didn't bore you all too much.

Halloween Blogging

I know, another post.  Mwahaha, but it's another mini one.  I was thinking of extending the Halloween love and wondering if anybody would like to do some guest posts here over October, it could be to talk about Halloween, tell us what they're favourite movies to watch on Halloween are, some spooky stories, some terrifying recipes, some creepy crafts.  If its to do with Halloween I want it.  If anyone wants to take part please give me an email at cherryneko@hotmail.co.uk or drop me a comment down below.

Halloween Swap?

I know it's only September, but to some (including me), it means that one of the most important days of the year is coming...HALLOWEEN!  I have had an idea, I'm going to celebrate Halloween blog style.

I want to host a Halloween Swap.  I thought it would be a good idea, to celebrate the Halloween holiday by giving.  Nothing too expensive of course, just a few gifts.  It could even be hand made.  I was thinking if people interested could email me, and then I'd pair them up randomly by pulling names out of a monkey head (well it's a monkey hat).

But before I go ahead and do this, I was just wondering would people be interested?  If you would be please let me know.  The more the better.

Thanks,

POW! THUD! TURNIP! See anything sounds cool in comic book land.

I return.  With Batman delights, unfortunately I can't show you all the fun I've had the last few days because I am an extremely silly person and I have lost my phone cable so I can't get the pictures from the phone to the laptop. Of course I'm prepared for situations like this, I have a spare...which I left at Danny's.  So as you can see, I'm silly and I fail.

I did have a great time though, and I am going to post a blog showing photos and telling of adventures as soon as my cable reappears.  Lets face it, it's not everyday you see the Joker in the flesh (thank you Batman Live!) So keep your eyes peeled.

In the mean time please join me in celebrations, I have 28 blogs on The Little Blog of Blogs and hopefully more will join soon.  If you want to join its really easy, and the more the better, so follow these quick steps.

Hope you've all had a fun week?

HQ loves Mr J, and I love HQ

Me and Danny have decided to have a mini trip.  We're just going into the city for 2 nights but I found such a bargain.  The hotel we're going to stay at was meant to be £200 per night, but I got it for the bargain of £43 per night.  So yay!  Already super excited.  Then to top it off we're going to see Batman Live at the Echo Arena.  I'm so excited I might pop.  I'm going to see Harley Quinn!!!  I know she's not real but who cares, I'm going to see one of my favourite charatcer's of all time in the flesh.  And BATMAN!!!  It actually sounds like an amazing show, and all the reviews have given it really high praise.  It should be a fairly awesome Wednesday night.  I just got to figure out what to wear...Batman t-shirt or red and black dress.  Tough choice.

So if I've dissapear for a little while fear not, I've actually gone to save the world with Batman...or having fun with Harley Quinn.

Hope you all have an amazing week!

See you soon, same bat time, same bat channel.

Little Gothic Horror love

I'm in love.  With a blog, (but don't tell Danny that).  Or more so the owner of the blog, Emma.  She's a wonderful person and has helped me in my crusade of uniting blogs together all under one little blog.  My little project, The Little Blog of Blogs.  It finally has its first resident, residing in the newly built Horror section.

After all the support she's giving me, here, I felt it was only fair that I give her blog some love and support HERE. So ladies, gentlemen and all the other wonderful creatures in the world, I bring you, Little Gothic Horrors.

About Me: Hi, my name is Emma and I've always been smitten with the supernatural and the spooky. I have created this blog to be a dwelling place for all things delightfully dark. My family, my cat and my friends are the centre of my universe, and a night spent at home with a DVD and a Chinese take-away is my idea of a party. An actual party, oddly enough, is not my idea of a party.

It's an amazing blog, and she talks about some really fascinating things.  Including Buffy (so you can see why I already give her the thumbs up).  She has a penchant for horror, but it swings to the more Gothic side (like her title states) rather than the gore.  The more classy in time in horror.  Her musings are wonderful and I really could not say anything about Little Gothic Horrors that would make it sound any where near as good as it is.  So I suggest you take your peepers away from the bright world of Cherry Neko and delve into the dark, wonderful world of Little Gothic Horrors, just this once.

Walking Like A Zombie

Have you guys heard about the Blogger Zombie Walk?

If not, check it out right now.  It sounds amazing.  Everyone involved has to do something related to zombies on their blog on the 30th September.  I've already got quite a few ideas, and I'm sure everyone else who's taking part is going to have such good Zombie day.  So please, for the sake of all the little zombies in the world, look into your heart and please join the blogger zombie walk cause.  It's simple, just email ghosthuntingtheories@gmail.com and say you want in.  Thank you and just remember...they only want to eat your brains.

My Little Project

I don't know if any of you remember but a few weeks ago I mentioned a mini project I was working on here.

Well I'm ready to start showing you.  It's actually a new blog.  Don't worry I'm not abandoning this one.  I'm just starting a new blog that serves a purpose.  It's purpose, to show everyone your blogs.  I don't know if it's just me but when you try and search for certain types of blog on Google it often proves fruitless.  I often get results that just didn't match what I wanted or sites that nobodies used for years.  So I thought it might be good to have someone for people to go and let you know what their blog is about.  What YOUR blog is about, if its crating, the horror genre or just random day to day posts and ramblings.  So I started my new blog...

I haven't actually finished making the blog, but I feel it's ready enough to get the ball rolling.  So I was wondering instead of forcing you all to put your blog down and surrender to the power of awesomeness, I'd tell you how pretty your are and how much I'd love you if you'd join in with my little project.  If you do want to help me out and be the most amazing person ever it's simple.  All I need you to do is contact me, and you can do that by emailing me at cherryneko@hotmail.co.uk or just add it to the comment below.  Just let me your blog title and address, add a mini paragraph just so other readers know what you're all about, and if you could tell me what category you think your blog would fit into.  I'm always open to adding new tabs or extending other ones, because I want everyone to feel included.  Even add a photo or picture if you really want too.

e.g.  Cherry Neko Saves the World, http://cherrynekostw.blogspot.com/
Just a blog that follows my day to day life, as I dabble in crafting, sewing and just being me.
Day to day life, crafting, sewing.

I know it's not going to be an instant success and I certainly wouldn't force it upon anyone who doesn't want to take part, I just thought it would be a good way to spread the blog love.  So please feel free to join if you want, or once I've got some other people other than my self (lol) added feel free to nose and read someone else's blog.

I've even got an idea of having a blog-of-the-week section.  Have you got any ideas?  Do you think this is a good idea? And my main question do you want to join?

Hope your all having a good day =)

Followers! with a side of Kanzashi flowers

Wow.  I got 10 followers.  I never thought I'd get 10.  Thank you everyone!!!  This really has made my day.  I've been feeling rather poorly today after the doctors made some big mistakes on my medicine and then put me through a nasty procedure yesterday.  So this has really cheered me up.  Thanks for following =).

I'm thinking if I get to 25 I should maybe try and string together some sort of give away.  That's if I ever get there though, I'm an optimist though so maybe I'll get to 25.

Like I said, I've been sick in bed today so to amuse myself I've read my tattoo mags, watched some Buffy on VHS and I've tried my hand at making Kanzashi flowers.  I've had real fun, and my first two attempts aren't that great but hey, I just got to practice.  Plus I have nothing to put in the middle if them so they look a little messy but I'm so proud.

Once again photo quality ain't so great, it's not the end of the world though.

Right I got some Buffy Season 3 to catch up on.  Buffy makes everyone happy!  Right? =)

A Random Day (photo heavy)

Boo!  I scared you didn't I?  Haha.

Today's post is inspired by a post I read on the wonderful Miss Lou's blog.  You can find Miss Lou here --> http://elousions.blogspot.com/ and the post I'm "robbing" ideas from is here --> http://elousions.blogspot.com/2011/08/my-day-in-photos.html.

It was World Photography Day and she had an amazing idea of taking a photo of what she was doing every hour.  I loved the post and the idea itself.  So on Tuesday I decided to take a photo every hour.  I was going to my boyfriends that day so I set the alarm on my phone to go off every hour and snapped away.  The rule I made for myself was whatever I was doing every hour I stopped what I was doing and took a photo. I should warn you though, the picture quality isn't that great and my Photoshop skills are non existent. My camera is playing dead and I'm hoping for a new one for Christmas so until then you'll have to make do with looking at my phone photos.  Hope you enjoy!

10:30 I actually woke up much earlier but had sat in bed drinking my tea and reading blogs.  so this is me in all my sleepy glory.
11:30 In the middle of putting my make up on and doing my hair.
12:30 I was just walking to the bus stop after I had got my shopping.
1:30 walking from the bus stop to Danny's and my buckle came undone on my awesome Converse.
2:30 Sat in Danny's watching Metal Gear Solid being played by the boy.
3:30 Just about to peel and eat my apple yum!!!
4:30 After being silly and forgetting my medicines me and Danny had to get a taxi all the way back home to pick them up.  I thought I'd take a picture of the clouds because they looked pretty, then noticed the huge "soil" label blocking them haha.
5:30 Getting back to Danny's.  He looks terrified.
6:30 Making pasta for tea time nom nom nom

7:30 It's time for a mini nap on awesome Space Invader pillows.
8:30 Just waking up and about to sit down and watch some films for the rest of the night.  (We watched Your Highness and the WWE Monday Night Raw).  Danny politely asked if we could watch them without taking photos, he'd put up with it happily all day, so it was only fair.

So that was my day.  Not that interesting but I had a lot fun doing it.  Have you done anything like this?  Or are you going too?  I'd really like to see.
